Abi slowly lowered her self down, back into her seat. It seemed every other minuet that she needed to go to the toilet and with the baby kicking her bladder all the time; it didn’t really help. It was funny, being pregnant was supposed to be such a joyous things. But all it brought Abi was fear, depression and UN-comfort. She was sick off it, and was starting to wonder if keeping it really was a good idea. She was staying in a run down hotel room, and barely had any money; there was no one to support her either. She was in this alone. But yet ain there was always elite…NO elite was out of the question. How could she show up after all these years asking for help, she abandoned elite, her friends and her family?
She soon became lost in her thoughts, staring blankly into the mug that contained the once hot chocolate liquid. “How am I going to do this?” she said to her self before taking a sip, cringing at the horrible taste of cold hot chocolate. She sighed looking up at the clock; almost 2 hours had seemed to slip by since she had gone to get the same drink she was holding. She slowly pushed her self up, groaning silently as she did so. She went over to the counter to order another drink.
Giving a stifled yawn she turned, with a new hot drink in her small shaky hands, only to bump into some one, spilling the hot contents over the both of them and dropping the mug. Abi cried out slightly before slowly crouching to pick up the broken piece of the drink. “I…I...I’m so…sorry” she stumbled out before finally resting her eyes on the figure she had so rudely spilt her drink all over.
Her baby blue pastel eyes rested on a changed, but very familiar face. As son as she realised who it was, she quickly looked away and mumbled another sorry, her hand rested on her stomach while the other picked up the broken pieces of mug. She didn’t want him to recognise her, he would tell elite…the people she didn’t want too see…god she was so stupid for returning to the one place they had hold over.

It wasn't often that Adam went out to the coffee shop, at least not since the ownership changed. Before the ownership changed, their stuff wasn't all that great and he didn't think it was worth the flight, walk, or jog there. Lately though, he had been getting curious as more and more of the Elite members had been stopping by there and seemed pleased with the things they brought back when they ddi bring something back. So of course, curiosity had bim heading that way.
As he was walking into the coffee shop and on his way to the counter to see what they had to order.... he suddenly remembered another reason he hadn't come here in a long time. Every time he walked through that door, it seemed like someone or another would crash into him. It made him wonder sometimes if he just happened to turn invisible or something without his knowing. He gave a bit of an inward hiss as almost scalding heat splashed onto his shirt. The shirt was quickly removed before he dipped down and used the shirt to star wiping up the spilled drink from the floor since he was already not wearing it anymore.
Just because the woman had run into him and made the mess, it didn't mean he couldn't help her clean it up. Had she not apologized, he would have just let her do the whole thing herself.
"Accident happen. Don't worry too much about--- Abi?"
His eyes had caught the familiar face and eyes. This must have been a reunion week, he thought, as he had just been reunited with Cassie only a few days ago.

Abi looked back at him gobsmacked and panicked, she wished she could lie but something about Adam would not let her lie o him. “Adam” she said softly before looking away. “ its been a long time” her voice almost broke a she fought back the tears, she had missed him a lot and felt even worst for leaving now. She had promised him she would never leave him, that he was stuck with her. But not long after the promise was made, she upped and left with out a single good bye.
Abi slowly stood again, her shoot slender (but pregnant) figure in full view, the baggy jumper only masking the bump; not full hiding it. After moments of silence she closed her eyes and looked away. “I’m sorry” she said again, but this wasn’t an apology for the hot chocolate down him, it was for leaving when she promised not to. She had been so stupid for running away.
One of the waters came over and took the broken pieces of mug off Abi and handed her a wet cloth to clean her self off with. She didn’t bother to clean her self she just handed the cloth to Adam. He seemed to have taken most of the hot liquid down him.

He saw her pain and her state and it disturbed him. What had happened in the time that she had been away? She looked worn, upset, and.... pregnant. As she handed him the wet cloth, he accepted it but wen to helping her get cleaned up rather than use it on himself.
"Why did you leave, Abi? And what happened to you?" He asked, hot hiding what was on his mind.
His words weren't in an accusing manner, he wasn't trying to make her feel guilty. Adam was just trying to get to the bottom of things. That wasn't the only couple of questions on his mind though. What had happened to make her come back? To him, she looked like she was either about to cry or had just finished crying not too long ago.
"Take a seat, I'll have another drink over and we can talk." It wasn't a question.

Abi watched as Adam began top clean her up “I’m ok Adam, ill just change my jacket” she said, not wanting him to make a fuss over her. There once was a time she loved to be fussed over and enjoyed the attention she got from boys. However, after several incidents with her boy friend, after another guy looked at her she had learned to hate it and avoid it like the plague.
Abi became silent at his questions; she shifted uncomfortably, before looking him in the eye, letting another tear slip from her baby blue eyes. “I was stupid” her delicate hand slipped to her cheek to wipe it away but yet another tear fell. “I’m sorry…I really am” she said she felt really bad. She had hoped not to bump into nay elite but knew it was impossible to.
“I shouldn’t…I still have to… “She began to protest but looking at him she knew he wouldn’t take no for an answer. she nodded and slowly made her way back to the table she had been sat at before. When she had left, Abi hadn’t had much time to pack she had packed another jacket some underwear and a few other bits. Puling her spare jacket out she put it on the table so she could take the one she was wearing off. Underneath Abi was wearing a plan grey, shot sleeved top. Along her thin arms where bruises that where in the shape of large hands. There was also one on her neck.
Abi pulled the clean and dry jacket on before stuffing the wet one into her bag.

"Who did that to you?" Adam asked, brushing aside everything else as soon as he saw the bruising on Abi's skin.
Who would beat up on a woman? Even worse, who would be enough of a coward to beat up on a pregnant woman? Was it the man who got her pregnant? Was that why she was here now, running away from the guy who had hurt her and who possibly hurt her all the time? Adam found himself with the feeling of disgust welling up inside of his stomach. Not disgust towards the woman but whoever had hurt her. Questions filtered through his head. How could she have not done anything to stop this from happening? Had she tried? Why hadn't she run away sooner or found help?
"You're not going back to wherever you ran away from, are you?" Adam spoke out a bit quietly so the other people wouldn't be able to eves drop.
"Tell me who did this to you and I'll deal with him."
He could guess that it had been a man who had done this judging by the size of the hand prints on her arms and throat. A man who should have known better. A man who needed to get what was coming to him.

“ no, I’ve moved back to start over again, away from the father…” she said before whipping away another tear, using the sleeve of her clean jacket. The bruises Adam had seen where nothing compared to the other injuries she had had.
“ I got mixed up with the wrong mutant, I had been with him quiet a while” she began to explain pulling back a strand of hair. It hurt to talk about it, but for some reason she began to tell him the tale, despite her lack of enthusiasm in him knowing.
“ Kane hardwood, my life had never been the same after meeting him, at first things where great he treated me like a proper lady and we went out most nights, then would go back to his place and stay together all right. But what I told him on out 1st anniversary made him snap. I was pregnant…” she paused fighting back the tears. A she spoke her hand lay protectively on her bump.
“ he…h…he beat me until I lost the baby. After that he was never the same with me, he would leave me locked in the apartment most night to go to the pub…but I doubt he went to the pub at all. He treated me like his ‘thing’ and would hit me when ever I would do something he disliked in the slightest. It was the worst 6 years of my life Adam; I don’t ever want to go back. Id rather die slowly and painful…I would rather face my father.” She said letting the tears slip down her face.
“ I’ve been pregnant a few times and each tome I’ve lost it, due to something he did to me, so when I found out I was pregnant this time…i..i.. ran…I’ve been running ever since. I left every thi…thing behind” Abi’s words broke of as she began to sob. Her frail body slowly shook.
“ Adam…pr... promise me you wont tell any one…that I’m here…no one not even my mother, especially NOT my father…I don’t want elite help…please...I can deal with this on my own”
